Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and will close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home using a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need read more not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 nsfas 2025 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
